Talking about the Liberal Arts on This Catholic Life podcast
What are the Liberal Arts and why are they relevant today?
These are the questions tackled by Campion president Paul Morrissey on the This Catholic Life podcast.
Dr Morrissey explains where the word 'liberal' comes from and what it means in a Liberal Arts education, while discussing a range of other issues including human flourishing, St John Henry Newman's Idea of a University and what it means to be a good person.
Dr Morrissey is joined by Media and Communications Officer and Campion graduate, Anna Hitchings, to talk about liberal education with host Peter Holmes, who runs the podcast as part of the Sydney Archdiocese.
The trio also look at the recent fee changes to humanities degrees in public universities by the Federal Government and what this means for the humanities in general.
