Borrowing Books

Present your student ID card when borrowing books at the Loans Desk at the front of the Library.

Returning Books

Course Reserve books are to be returned to the Loans Desk. All other books may be returned to the chute at the Loans Desk during Library hours or to the chute outside the library entrance when the library is closed.

 

Renewing Books

Sign In to your Library account through the online catalogue. Select “My Account” to view your current loans. Select the loans you want to renew and click renew selected. Check the item status and new due date.

Items can’t be renewed if:

• Someone else has requested them
• They are already overdue
• You have reached the renewal limit for them

Reserving Books

• Only books that are already on loan can be reserved
• Course Reserve books cannot be reserved

To reserve main collection books, Sign In to your Library account with your student ID number and photocopier pin. Search for the item you would like in the search box. Click on Locations, under the required book, select Request. Fill in the details in the form and submit the request. You should be able to see your request by going to My Account.

Interlibrary Loans

Staff and students in their third year of study may apply for interlibrary Loans from the Loans Desk or by contacting the Librarian.

 

Fines

Avoid fines by keeping your books safe and returning them on time.

Course Reserve Items	$1 per day after a 12 hour grace period
Lost Items	$80 or a replacement fee
Maximum fine per book	$20
